Never go to a site and there were a dozen banners and took forever to load the page? If you sell your product or service and sales for affiliate programs that you belong, you probably banner ads available.
Most affiliate programs will be a good selection of promotional tools you can use when you register. The banners are usually one of the tools that you are given. If you try to expand
multiple sources of income you are probably linked to a number of affiliate programs like we are. Some products may be, for certain services in May and some network marketing type programs. Plus as I mentioned earlier, May you also have your own
Products / Services too.
Whatever the type of program or product you offer, the only thing you want to do is get exposure for you to get sales or member sign UPS. For the purposes of this discussion, let's say you are associated with eight of these products or programs.
So here you have eight different banners you want prospects to click to increase your income. What do you do? Do you have eight different place banners on your Web site? I do not! First, it is not very professional to have a page cluttered with eight to ten different banners. Secondly, it will probably make your page load very slowly and you'll create what I call "click away" when someone is waiting to load your page and it takes as long as they just click another link to another site.
What is the solution? Get a rotating banner script. You can get free and it's really not difficult to implement. What is a rotating banner script? The one we use is based cgi script that you can load as many banners that you want to rotate and place a short line of HTML code on your page. Each time a new visitor goes to your page a new banner comes automatically.

hit your browser's "Refresh" button and you will see another banner to come to his place. Repeat as many times as you want, and it will randomly select a new banner of twelve or if we have instructed in the script.
Another thing unique to this topic is that you can rotate banners on as many pages as you want and you only need to put the script once on your site. We have about 20 pages on our site. All it takes is to put as a short line of code on the
HTML page that you want to appear on the banners. The more pages you have on it, you get more exposure. If someone surfs the six pages of your site and happens to have the banner script on these pages, there is a good chance they will see six banners.
So where do you get? Although there are a number of scripts available free and for a fee, we have ours for free from Cliff's Perl Scripts site. Just go to his website at:
http://www.shavenferret.com/scripts and search for "Cliff's Banner Rotator Version 2.51. There was a link right on the first page the last time we were there. Then just download the files (there are only 3 small), follow the directions easy and upload it to your site.
It is a great way to get exposure for multiple activities
you may be involved in. You can put 2, 5, 8 or 12 like we did. You can even save different banners of the same issue (we have two of the same issue in the rotation). Be creative! You can even sell space on a rotation script! Take a look at it and see if you might be able to use to your advantage and create a more economical use of your premises.
